What should be taken into consideration after laser treatment?
The patient, whose laser treatment is completed, is waited for approximately half an hour and taken for a control examination. The patient can leave the hospital after this check. First day; It is normal for blurred vision and stinging, burning and watering in the eyes for 3-4 hours. After the operation, the doctor should use the medications prescribed regularly. If you experience a headache after laser treatment, you can take a non-blood-thinning pain reliever. On the day of surgery, we do not recommend driving or going to work after surgery. Being in a dusty environment should be avoided, the treated eye should not be rubbed, scratched, touched, face washed or bathed for the first 24 hours. In the first days, care should be taken to avoid getting soap and shampoo in the eyes. There will be no side effects that will restrict social and business life the day after the operation. If wrinkles are detected in the transparent area on the surface of the eye or if there is a reaction under the flap during the doctor’s checkup the next day, it may be necessary to wash the area under the flap. After the surgery, an artificial tear drop recommended by the doctor should be used for approximately 3 – 6 months.
