The patient, who has decided to have surgery and has prepared himself, meets with the anesthesiologist of the hospital where he will be operated and has the examinations requested by the doctor. If no problem that prevents surgery is detected in these examinations, the surgery phase is started.
Rhinoplasty operation is performed under licensed and fully equipped operating room conditions and under general anesthesia. The inside, outside and surroundings of the nose are wiped with antiseptic substances, and a solution containing bleeding-reducing and pain-relieving substances is injected under the skin of the nose and into some points inside it. Depending on the surgical techniques used, different incisions are made to remove the nasal skin and reveal the bone and cartilage tissues to be modified.
There are different surgical methods used in aesthetic nose surgery. These are divided into two groups as “closed” and “open” methods, depending on the skin and mucosa incisions used. In the closed method, all incisions are made inside the nose, and the surgery is performed from a more limited field of view.
It is especially useful in procedures that do not require much change at the tip of the nose and only address the bridge of the nose. The main advantage is that there is less swelling at the tip of the nose after surgery and a quicker return to normal appearance.
